Nyngan High Showcases at Positive Schools Conference in Sydney

Mrs Bush and Mrs Murray represented Nyngan High at The Positive Schools Conference in Sydney. The two day conference looked at positive education and youth wellbeing. We heard from 10 keynote speakers, attended workshops and browsed trade displays. Ita Buttrose AO, OBE hosted the conference and we heard from inspirational and relevant speakers such as Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, Dr Helen Street, Dr Chris Sarra and Maggie Dent.

Nyngan High School was chosen to showcase our Positive Education Initiative at a What Works Expo. We shared the ideas, programs and strategies that we have been implementing at Nyngan High as they have found to be effective in promoting wellbeing, positive mental health and a love of learning. We were the only public high school chosen for the Expo.

We are very excited to continue to expand our Positive Education and Wellbeing program knowing that we are leading the way in this area.
